In early October, Rose and Jackie had the privilege of attending the JP Morgan Chase Women on the Move Leadership Day in New York City. This prestigious event hosts employees and a select group of financial advisors from around the country. They heard from top leaders at JP Morgan like Mary Callahan Erdoes, CEO of Asset Management;
Some of the most compelling and inspiring moments of the day came from the female entrepreneurs who spoke about their businesses, relationships with money, and how they are motivated to do more and give back. Gwyneth Paltrow, CEO and Founder of Goop, encouraged women to be ruthlessly true to themselves and their worth. Success follows. Author of Fair Play, Eve Rodsky, spoke about the division of household work between spouses and offered a fascinating new take to tackle this age-old issue. It equals less nagging and more execution. And everyone can agree that’s a win for all genders!
Diane von Furstenburg, designer and founder of Diane von Furstenburg, has an incredible story of how she began, never gave up and now offers her support to many other women just beginning their careers. Lindsey Vonn, Olympic Champion and now entrepreneur, is embarking on a new business venture. She had everyone cheering for her as she confessed her fan-girl moment meeting Gwyneth backstage and getting her cell phone number.
As women, it’s important to continuously remind ourselves that it’s our character that counts. When we face hurdles on our way to whatever goals we place before us, it’s our attitude that makes all the difference. Be Bold. Be Brave. Be Yourself.
